GOLD FOR INDIA! Our women's compound archery team defeated China 238–234 in the final at Aichi-Nagoya on Sept 30, 2026.
A WORLD RECORD, EQUALLED. India's 238 matched the world and Asian record set by South Korea at Incheon 2014 — just 2 points short of a perfect 240!
SEMIFINAL THRILLER. Earlier in the day, India edged South Korea 234–233. Level at 175–175, two 10s in the final arrows sealed a 1-point win.
NEAR-PERFECT SHOOTING. Jyothi and Prithika shot perfect 80s — every arrow a 10. In all, 22 of India's 24 arrows found the bullseye.
MEET THE CHAMPIONS. Jyothi Surekha Vennam (30), the veteran — her 4th Asian Games gold. Chikitha Taniparthi (21) and Prithika Pradeep (17), the young stars.
7TH GOLD FOR INDIA. The team defended its Hangzhou 2023 title. India also assured a squash medal as Tanvi Khanna and Anahat Singh reached the semifinals.
